Web Site To Track Snow Conditions Across Wisconsin

MADISON, WIS. - As the weather outside gets frightful, there's a fresh web site available for those Wisconsin residents who say, "Let it snow."

Want to know ski conditions across the state? Wondering how much powder has fallen in state parks and forests? Unsure where to break out your brand-new snowmobile?

Just check out the Snow Conditions Report on the Web site of the Wisconsin Department of Tourism. It's at TravelWisconsin.com.

The report will be updated by 125 snow-condition Reporters in all 72 Wisconsin counties. The Reporters can update information as often as they want, but will do so at minimum once a week.

If you want the report e-mailed to you so you can use it to make weekend plans, you can sign up on the Web site to have it sent every Thursday.

President Patil's Chopper Hits Wall, All Safe

President Pratibha Patil had a narrow escape on Wednesday evening as the chopper In which she was traveling Brushed into a wall.

Patil, who is touring Orissa was Accompanied by her husband Devi Singh Patil and State Governor Muralidhar Bhandari when the incident occurred.

All the passengers are reportedly safe and have de-boarded from the ill-fated chopper.

This is the second incident, where President Patil's escaped a chopper crash.

TV Tiger Nowhere To Be Found

For Tiger Woods, the New Women Continue to surface, but the advertisements have disappeared.

There have been at least 10 women Connected to Woods since last week when they admitted to "transgressions" that apparently addressed allegations of marital infidelity.

Meanwhile, no advertisements featuring Woods have run on prime-time U.S. television broadcast networks or cable channels 19 since late last month, according to data from The Nielsen Co..

The last prime-time ad featuring the 33-year-old golfer was a 30-second Gillette Co.. Nov. spot on. 29, according to Nielsen.

In the latest development on Tuesday, Woods' Swedish mother-in-law was treated for stomach pain after collapsing at his Florida home early Tuesday and being rushed to a nearby hospital by ambulance. Barbro Holmberg, Elin Nordegren Woods' mother, was later released in good condition, a hospital spokesman said.

"She's in a good state and feeling much better," hospital spokesman Dan Yates said of Holmberg, 57, a Swedish politician. Earlier, they had described her condition as "not serious."
