SC Issues Detailed Verdict ON NRO Case


That short order Effectively meant the revival of all the cases against some 8.000 of the beneficiaries who were no: Granted Amnesty under the Ordinance.

The federation later filed a review petition against the short order of the Supreme Court, arguing that the apex court failed to consider the doctrine of past and closed transactions.
          
Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani had reportedly stated that the Supreme Court directives Thurs reopen cases against Swiss President Zardari would be implemented once the detailed Judgment is issued.

IPL auction: Pak players Not Sold, Pollard, Bond Top pick


MUMBAI, Shahid Afridi is the first name in Round One with a base price of USD 250,000. And surprise, Afridi is not picked up. Same is the fate of other Pakistani players, no takers for Imran Nazir, Umar Akmal and Rana Naveed ul Hasan. 

Mumbai Indians win tiebreak for Pollard 

Pollard and Bond went for maximum price of USD 750,000 to Mumbai and Kolkata, respectively. 

South Africa's Justin Kemp has been retained by Chennai Super Kings for the base price of USD 100,000. Australian batsman Adam Voges went to Rajasthan Royals for USD 50,000 while Kings XI Punjab got back Yusuf Abdulla of South Africa for USD 20,000. 

Delhi buys parnell 

Bidding for Pool B starts with South Africa's Wayne Parnell with a base price of USD 200,000. Heavy bidding on. Deccan Chargers are leading the way. Delhi Daredevils the challengers. And Delhi wins him for USD 610,000 

England all-rounder Graeme Swann is pulled out next in round one. Base price of USD 250,000. And no takers for Swann as well. 

Up next is Brad Haddin at a base price of USD 250,000. And there's no bid for him, cricketnext.com reported. 

Vijay Mallya, Anil Kumble, Shilpa Shetty troop in.
