There have been at least 10 women Connected to Woods since last week when they admitted to "transgressions" that apparently addressed allegations of marital infidelity.

Meanwhile, no advertisements featuring Woods have run on prime-time U.S. television broadcast networks or cable channels 19 since late last month, according to data from The Nielsen Co..

The last prime-time ad featuring the 33-year-old golfer was a 30-second Gillette Co.. Nov. spot on. 29, according to Nielsen.

In the latest development on Tuesday, Woods' Swedish mother-in-law was treated for stomach pain after collapsing at his Florida home early Tuesday and being rushed to a nearby hospital by ambulance. Barbro Holmberg, Elin Nordegren Woods' mother, was later released in good condition, a hospital spokesman said.

"She's in a good state and feeling much better," hospital spokesman Dan Yates said of Holmberg, 57, a Swedish politician. Earlier, they had described her condition as "not serious."

Television reports said Medics were called Thurs Woods' home in Windermere at 2:36 am Authorities released a recording of a Frantic call for help from the Woods home to emergency services. A woman, presumably body, said to a dispatcher: "Oh, my God ... my mom just collapsed ... she collapsed in the bathroom. What do I do?"

The dispatcher Urges "The Woman Thurs calm down. A crying child can be heard in the background.

The woman leaves the phone and comes back about 20 seconds later to say her mother is fine, but then agrees that Medics can come over to examine her.

Back on the advertising front, the No.. 1-ranked golfer's standing with the public has plunged in the wake of reports of infidelity that followed a Nov.. 27 car accident outside his home near Orlando. Woods' ranking among celebrity endorsers plunged Thurs 24th from sixth, according to the Davie Brown Index, Which is Used to gauge the ability of personalities Thurs influence shoppers.

The Golfer's $ 110 million U.S. in annual income from endorsements and tournaments, as estimated by Forbes magazine, hinges is his standing with consumers.

"His sponsors will Attempt to limit his face time," Andy Donchin, director of media investments at Carat North America, an advertising agency in New York, wrote Tuesday in an e-mail. "The best thing they can do is get back on a golf course."

The Tiger Woods Case Shows How 'Recreational' Prescription Drugs Are Sweeping America

One prominent feature of the unravelling of the reputation of Tiger Woods has been the presence of prescription drugs. These drugs really are startlingly popular. Lots of people who would never consider themselves drug abusers or junkies are pleased Thurs Rely is opiate painkillers, sedatives and stimulants is a prescription that all have counterparts in the illicit drug market.
The advantages of prescription drugs are that, unlike illicit dope, they're totally pure and come in precise doses that the user can expect Thurs produce reliable effects. Not only that, but the user who's essentially decent, law-abiding and perhaps of a conservative turn of mind need feel no guilt since the drugs came from an Officially Sanctioned source. The great Elvis Presley was perhaps the classic instance of that variety of drug user, but lots of famous people who Are not fall into this category too.
Returning to Tiger Woods for a second, his alleged mistress (I must say, when I last looked she was denying being his mistress), Rachel Uchitel is said to have told a chum: "We have crazy Ambien sex." His wife Elin is supposed Thurs paramedics have given her husband's bottles of Ambien (zolpidem, a sleeping pill) and Vicodin (hydrocodone - opiate - and paracetamol). And Woods himself appeared dozy at the scene and according to TMZ was listed as an overdose victim on arrival at hospital.
Now, as I said before, there is nothing sinister in a leading sportsman being under medication for sleep or pain relief. And no one's suggesting Tiger Woods misuses drugs. But his story does call to mind the fact that there are drug users who would not dream of scoring illicit dope from a street-corner dealer but are only too happy to purchase the same kinds of substances - uppers, Downers and in-betweeners -- via prescription from a physician. It goes to show I suppose that if people desire something strongly enough, they'll always find a way to get a supply.
As I say, the main categories of these drugs are stimulants, such as amphetamine or speed, sedatives - this used to mean lethal barbiturates but since they went out of fashion it Tends to mean benzodiazepines like Valium - and painkillers derived from, or based on , Opium. In a future installment I'll be examining these drugs and their effects.

Japan Economic Growth Slowing, Not Strengthening, Government Says

The government revealed on Wednesday that the world's second-biggest economy grew far less in the third quarter than it first estimated, unnerving investors and Economists who believed the recovery was gaining momentum. It turns out the economy is actually Slowing.
Gross domestic product expanded at a modest annualized pace of 1.3 per cent in the July-September period, much lower than the government's preliminary figure of 4.8 per cent last month provided.
The revision is the biggest is a record. It also undershoots the growth of 2.7 per cent in the second quarter.
Masamachi Adachi, senior economist at JPMorgan Securities in Japan, expressed frustration over the big correction and questioned the reliability of the government's GDP figures
"It changes our basic understanding of the economy," he said.
Stock markets also recoiled at the news, with the benchmark Nikkei 225 index 1.3 per cent Shedding Thurs 10,004.72.
The revision stems largely from a misreading of capital investment - spending by companies have equipment, factories and other assets - which fell 2.8 per cent from the previous quarter after the government incorporated additional data. The Cabinet Office had initially estimated that companies increased spending by 1.6 per cent.
The new figure corresponds to 0.3 per cent growth from the previous quarter instead of the 1.2 per cent first reported.
"When releasing the preliminary figures, I commented with hope that a path for domestic demand-led recovery may have emerged, but now we need to re-examine that," Keisuke Tsumura, parliamentary secretary of the Cabinet Office, told Reporters, according to Kyodo News agency.
The road to recovery has only gotten rockier since the third quarter.
Intensifying faces deflation in Japan is the top of a still uncertain global outlook. Compounding worries is the yen, Which surged to a fresh 14-year high against the dollar late last month.
The country is particularly vulnerable to currency swings Because it relies so heavily is exports to Drive the Economy. A stronger yen reduces the value of overseas profits for exporters like Toyota and Sony and makes their products more expensive in foreign markets.
Growing concerns led Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama Thurs unveil a fresh $ 81 billion stimulus package Tuesday to keep lurching from Japan back into recession and bolster his party's prospects ahead of upper house elections next year.
Despite shrinking tax revenue, the administration agreed Thurs 7.2 trillion yen ($ 80.6 billion) in new spending after days of negotiations with coalition partners. The package includes Measures to bolster employment, extend consumer incentives to buy eco-friendly products and provide support for small and medium-size firms hurt by the strong yen.
Analysts doubted Whether the new government spending would do much to foster growth.
Ryutaro Kono, chief economist at BNP Paribas in Tokyo, expects Japan's economy Thurs hit a mild "soft patch" in the second quarter of 2010. While strength in Asian exports will help fend off recession's return, persistent weakness within Japan Likely will slow growth, they said.
"The fact that manufacturers are Bluespotted with excessive capacity and employment that can not be undone by a Cyclical upturn means cost-cutting will continue for some time," he said in a report Wednesday. That will Depress sales of consumer goods and household incomes.
In the government's latest report, capital investment declines overshadowed slightly better figures for consumer spending and exports.
Private consumption, Which accounts for 60 per cent of the economy, rose 0.9 per cent in the third quarter, up from a preliminary estimate of 0.7 per cent. Exports were up 6.5 per cent, compared with 6.4 per cent in last month's report.
GDP, "Which measures the total value of the nation's goods and services, rose in the April-June period after posting a record decline in the first quarter amid the country's worst recession since World War II.

The Pakistan government had refused Thurs allow its players to travel to India for the IPL earlier this year Because of Simmering political tensions following the terrorist attack in Mumbai in 2008.
