US Defends $6.4bn Weapons Sale To Taiwan



The U.S. State Department said on Friday that the sale contributed to "security and stability" between Taiwan and China, Reuters reported.
Beijing announced a series of moves against the U.S. in retaliation for the proposed $ 6.4bn (£ 4BN) sale.

One Gaston County City Logged 8 inches Of Snow. Find Out How Much Fell Where You Live


Though Snow Flurries and showers of sleet may continue this afternoon, little will be added to existing accumulations, said National Weather Service meteorologist Chris Horne.
“From here on out, we’re just looking at a fresh coating, perhaps,” Horne said.
Lincolnton and Waco each tallied 6 inches of snow. An inch and a half was measured at Charlotte/Douglas International Airport.
Any snow that melts during the day will quickly re-freeze. The forecast high for Gastonia is 27 degrees, and temperatures will plunge into the teens overnight.

Australian Open Women s Final, Henin Vs Serena Was Tough: Serena Beats Henin 6-4, 3-6, 6-2
