Representative Sites Opposition To Health Care, Stimulus Bills

Griffith's Opposition to the Democratic-backed stimulus bill, cap-and-trade environmental regulations and health-care proposals led him to the move, he said.

Griffith said the $ 787 billion stimulus bill failed in accountability, the cap-and-trade bill hinders Alabama's Ability to Recruit industry and the health-care bill will not benefit doctors or patients.

"We're watching them pass a health-care bill that basically the Two-Thirds of Americans are saying, 'do not pass it, leave it alone,' and they're completely ignoring the American people at their own risk," Griffith said.

Griffith denied the upcoming 2010 election affected his decision.

"This was not about politics. This was about my Convictions, "said Griffith, adding that North Alabama voters elected him as an" independent conservative. "

"There is no room, really, in the Democratic Party for a pro-life, pro-business, pro-Second Amendment, conservative businessman."Read Morehttp://decaturdaily.com/detail/50055.html
