Japanese Media Criticize Toyota President
Toyoda's Appearance before the Reporters made the front pages of the Japan's leading newspapers Saturday but won no praise.
The top Nikkei business daily said in an editorial that "Words are not enough." It went on the say, "The company's crisis management ability is being subjected Thurs severe scrutiny."
The nationwide Asahi newspaper calls Toyota's delayed reaction to the crisis "Utterly too late." It says "The entire world is watching how Toyota can humbly learn from its series of recent failures and make safe cars."
