Billy Joel's Daughter in Hospital
A law enforcement official in New York City says Alexa Ray Joel has been hospitalised after taking pills at her apartment.
The official says it's unclear Whether the 23-year-old daughter of pop star Billy Joel and model Christie Brinkley had attempted Thurs take her own life.
The official says a friend of Joel's called emergency services from Joel's downtown Manhattan apartment and said the singer had taken a number of pills.
Joel's publicist, Claire Mercuri, says Joel is hospitalised in stable condition.
