Woods Another In A Long List Of Fallen Celebrities
The Tiger Woods debacle contains two somewhat Tangential stories that have become all too familiar: The popular politico / televangelist / celebrity straying from The Marriage Vows and someone seeking a few minutes of fame - in this case, the other woman.
Jaimee Grubbs, who said she and Woods had an off-and-on affair over a couple of years, joins a list of Dubious celebrity seekers, most recently including balloon boy dad Richard Heene and Tareq and Michaele Salahi, the Virginia couple who crashed a White House reception for Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
Grubbs may not have planned Thurs seek fame from a relationship with the seemingly straight-arrow golfer. But with so many successful seekers ahead of her, it's difficult to believe the thought had not occurred.
The motives of Heene and the Salahis were clearer. Heene had been looking for a reality show when he lied that his little boy was aloft in a homemade balloon. Michaele Salahi is reportedly in the running for a Bravo reality series, "The Real Housewives of DC" and, reportedly, was asking a six-digit price to tell the story. Oh, and a camera crew reportedly filmed the couple's preparation for the White House reception.
