Taliban Arrests in Pakistan Amid Talk Of Policy Shift
Mullah Abdul Salam Mir and Mullah Muhammad, the "shadow Governors" of the northern Afghan provinces of Kunduz and Baghlan respectively, were captured in recent days inside Pakistan.
In a stark illustration of the problems facing domestic terrorism in Pakistan, a bomb blast yesterday at a mosque in the north-western tribal belt killed 29 people, including some militants, and injured about 50 others. The explosion tore through the mosque in the Aka Khel area of Khyber, a local official said.
